Secret Squirrel's December stop

By Victoria As-it-Seams - 13:06

Can you believe it's December 1?
This is when I suddenly see all my good intentions for blogging/sewing/gifts/Christmas stuff etc all disappearing in a time vacuum...We're hurtling towards the end of 2013 and I feel like it's barely started.

But I was actually looking forward to December 1 this year!
Why?

Because the latest Secret Squirrel creation would be unveiled. And with a delivery of 'Acorns' nominated by As-it-Seams a month ago (see here), intrigued and excited barely describes my anticipation...

As-it-Seams sent Squirrel off on a very long journey to the Southern Hemisphere with the 'Acorns'; Where the Wild Things Are, Blue, David Bowie, Pockets and Great Britain...

And look what these five produced; a gorgeous Liberty and denim combination. Pop over here to see the full outfit by Jenya at While She Was Sleeping.

And I'm thrilled that the December Acorns, while challenging, have resulted in a couple of sew-alongs!
Look at this, as a first ever blog post, over at Adventures in Domesticity  !

And another, again totally different,  at Sew Cool for the Tween Scene .

Are there any more out there? Or on their way? Let me know!

  1. Yes, there is another on its way - my contribution is almost done! These acorns have been great - very challenging :) Evenings are getting busy at this time of year - so much to sew - so little time ;)

  2. Thanks Victoria for linking me up! Can I just say, these acorns were so fun to for me to come up with something. Other months (when I envisioned something, but never quite got it out of planning stages) I had to stretch for a couple of the acorns, but this month I was able to make an outfit for my tween daughter that she loves and is practical. Great job on picking them!
